A few of my teachers over the past two years (Christian Bischoff, Eckhart Tolle, Tony Robbins, Nicholas Wilton) all talk about the importance of „Being in the present moment“ Not wasting time and energy by regretting the past or being anxious about the future but fully perceiving what’s in front of you at this very moment. Noticing objects, sounds, colors, textures, smells, motions. Everything informs your BEING. It’s the presence that makes everything possible. „All I need is within me now“, „We pay more attention to what lights us up when we are present.“ „A practise of presence relates to art making too. Art-making involves uncertainty when creating something new. When you are occupied with a result with an end you want to see that hinders the creative process. Presence is the way we can learn to be at peace with uncertainty. I hope this has encouraged you to stay present and be inspired by what you notice!“
Gregg Braden (author, scientist, educator, pioneer) on „Heart-brain coherence“ (Summary of Youtube video)
There is a strong connection between us and the world around us. Waves of energy roll through the universe. Heartmath science is catching up and pioneering over the last few years researching the power of the heart beyond just being a pump. It is besides sending blood through the body sending the signals to the brain what chemistry to release into the body. The heart is creating hormones that are flooding the body in very specific ways and times. The heart generates these signals based on our perception on the way we feel. Do we feel safe? Do we feel a sense of well being? The relationship to ourselves and the world around us. The heart is the strongest biomagnetic generator in the body and we are closely linked to the magneic field around us.
The goal is to harmonize with the planet around us, harmonize the heart with the brain, harmonize the neuro network in the heart with the neuro network of the brain, self regulating the systems within us like the immune system. Two organs become one very potent system. Do the shift of the awareness from the thinking mind to the feeling heart.
Heart based traditions begin by shifting the focus from the mind to the heart by touching the heart center, rubbing the sternum with your finger tips, creating a sensation near your heart center. Slowing the breathing, by exhaling a period of time longer than you have inhaled. (Breathing: 4 counts on the inhale, 6 on the exhale) Establish a rythm in your body. The ability of selfregulation. Creating this sense of well being. A positive emotion like feelings of appreciation, gratitude, care, compassion.
1. Heart focus
2. Regulation of the breathing
3. Feel the feeling of gratitude
…sending signals from the neurol network of the heart to the neurol network of the brain. By harmonizing these two potent systems into one, we are harmonizing ourselves, minimizing the stress we might experience, creating resiliance for change.
Being in the state of this coherence to release stress from your body, becoming more objective and taking things less personal. The way you feel about the words of someone else becomes less personal, formulating a clear and objective response when in a situation of confrontation with someone else. The inner conversation talking to yourself, self dialog, when the left and right brain talk goes on (good – bad, right – wrong…) shift the awareness to your heart.
The power of intuition
Divinity is part of us, intuitiononly possible because of our divinity. The ability to transcend perceived human limitations. These limitations we put on ourselves because of our conditioning. Divinity is more than our conscious thoughts, its more than our subconscious mind. Then there is the super conscious mind. Divinity and super conscious mind are linked. It is the Part of us that is eternal, a part of us that is all knowing. Artists often say their art came through them, they did not make it. This is their divinity that came through them. Your divinity is always with you. Intuition is part of that divinity. This intuition speaks through our hearts. The principle of entanglement where all physical matter, wether its connected or distant physically is still entangled energetically. The intuition, that stems from our divinity, speaks to us through our hearts. In that state coherence we open that door to Intuition. This the place you can ask questions. Where does your heart sing?
Opening up to „heart – brain coherence“ the ability to create deep states of intuition on demand to become the best version of ourselves we can.
